Dordogne Holiday Villa with heated pool sleeps 8/10

Amazing property in a beautiful location *****
This is an absolutely stunning house set in an idyllic countryside location. The accommodation is huge but as there were only of two of us we only used the master bedroom and living area on the ground floor. The master bedroom alone was like a hotel suite with king size bed, sitting area, ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a large separate utility room. The outside space is massive and very private, surrounded by walnut trees and wheat fields. The large terrace at the rear of the house is perfect for those relaxed barbecues stretching into the night over a few bottles of the local wine.
Amar and Elena are excellent hosts - on the night of our arrival we joined them for the Hunters' Dinner in the local village hall and later in the holiday spent a very enjoyable evening of golf and dinner at Les Crouquets.
A car is essential to get to shops and restaurants but the house is centrally located for exploring the many beautiful towns and villages in the region.

Great getaway with the entire family

Great hosts, a lot of attention to detail. Everything is working and very well maintained. The teens loved especially the pool and table tennis table. We stayed with 10 people, 3 generations and everybody had a great time and enough space. Outdoor kitchen is great too. The weather was only to cool to fully enjoy the pool at this time of year. Great area to venture out and enjoy all that the Dordogne has to offer.

Excellent stay in a wonderful part of France *****
We were very lucky to stay in this top notch property for 11 nights in early September. The house and grounds are spotless, the house has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Amar and Elena really do set the mark as hosts and I would recommend them and this property to anybody without hesitation.

A perfect home in the Dordogne

We simply had a fantastic stay at La Tour de Genèbre. The house was not only beautiful inside and out but perfectly appointed with everything you could possibly need. Our two boys in particular loved the salt water pool which was a godsend when the weather turned hot. The house stays relatively cool even in warm weather and we only needed to use the air conditioning a few times at night which was a nice luxury. Elena and Amar were wonderful hosts and readily available if we needed anything. We very much hope to return to this lovely place again someday.

Amar and Elena were fantastic hosts being on hand to welcome us - even though we arrived late - and providing guests with a fantastic place to say. A beautiful location on top of a hill with fantastic views - we were mesmerised by he sunsets - you are close of lots of the great places to visit in the Dordogne. If you like walks then there are a number of signposted trails close by - alternatively there are lots of great villages to visit and while away the hours over lunch. The house had everything we could wish for - so even though the weather was not great staying at home was still a joy. So if you are looking for a fantastic house, peace and tranquillity, and to be close to all the Dordogne has to offer you can't go far wrong than to book with Elena and Amar.
