One of the questions we are asked time & time again is ...where is the nearest bakery?
This is of course the epitomy of all things French and you can almost smell the freshly baked croissants wafting through the images of the early morning rays... we are lucky to have nearly everything close at hand...
... but you will need a car - the small price to pay for living in this wonderful area is that apart from strolling through the countryside, there isn't much within walking distance.

La Tour de Genèbre is situated in a beautiful rural setting - relaxing country walks and delightful scenery, often dotted with lots of quirky details from years gone by, can be accessed right from your doorstep.
Other stunning towns and villages, many accredited with the "les plus beaux villages de France" classification are only a short drive away.
Sarlat-La-Canéda, Rocamadour, Collonges la Rouge, Domme and St Amand de Coly are among the many worthy of a visit.
